Grohney is a registered and Practicing Accountant with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya P/2359. He holds Masters of Science in Finance and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance), both from Kenyatta University, a Certified Public Accountant.

CPA Grohney has Over 15 years of Experience in External Audit, Tax and Consulting in different business areas. He is the Founder and chairman of InvestoBrain Sacco Society Ltd, Founder & Managing Partner at Grohney & Co. Associates, Lecturer & Coordinator of TVET Programmes at School of Professional Programs, KCA University.

He is a member of Financial Management and Management Accountants Panel at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.

On the social and religious front, CPA Grohney is one of the 14 Elders of Seventh Day Adventist Church Green Valley Kasarani and is happily married to Mildred with two Sons Grohney Jnr, Joe and one daughter Jasmine.
